It's very easy to do and then you're on the same page as us. That's what i'm doing. On FC4 it's "yum install compat-gcc-32", "export CC=gcc32", but i also hat to strip "-mtune=pentium4" from "OPT" in /usr/lib/python2.4/config/Makefile (part of FC4's python-devel-2.4.1-2).
