(but I have had these problems with various 'latest' versions over the
last couple of days).

Basically I am getting a timeout from the blkfront, which seems to
because the blkback_probe function never gets called. At least now I
know the code ought to be working, then I can start looking for the
problem elsewhere. Perhaps this has to do with my hotplug
