VNC or SDL?

vncfb is expected to behave strangely unless you use the US keymap.

sdlfb is expected to behave strangely unless you have a PS/2 keyboard.
Your 106er should qualify, although the extra five keys may or may not
work.  Note that you need to configure the keymap in the guest.
