I'm looking for a way to mimic a serial device (actually a tty) inside a domain running a very bare-bones OS. (This is the same OS I wrote about a few weeks ago - it's just slightly more sophisticated than the Mini-OS.) Any suggestions? The best I heard so far was writing a new backend/frontend device driver pair, but I can't find documentation on how to do that. If that's the way to go, can someone point me to any details about it?
