[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] [Xen-devel] [PATCH] x86: cacheability page attributes
Track cacheability of a page (as requested by the owning guest) to avoid virual aliases with different cacheability. This is done by splitting PGT_writable_page into a set of 8 attributes, each being writeable plus one of the possible caching types (3 PTE bits). It is being complicated by the fact that now transitions between non-read-only page types must be supported (e.g. writeable/WB -> writeable/UC), requiring some special casing in the page table handling code. Depends on the previously submitted TLB/cache flushing patch.
