Version 0.4 is outdated and a more recent version is 0.5.1. Actually Mario Strasser, the author of the tpm emulator, said that that particular error had been fixed in version 0.4.1. The problem with the newer version is that the Xen patch against the emulator has almost all hunks rejected -- so forward-porting could become quite involving...
