That sounds like you have problems with some network offloading
settings.

Have you tried for example this in the domU:
ethtool -K eth0 tx off

Does that help? If it doesn't, try playing with the other offloading
settings.. you can check them with "ethtool -k eth0".

Do you have errors in the dom0 dmesg?
