Re: [Xen-devel] Xen: cannot start HVM with VIF

Finally, just found a usefull error output: tun/tap not compiled in kernel or module.
I can't figure this one out:

1 memory = 1024
2 name = "w"
3 vcpus = 2
4 vif = [ 'type=ioemu,bridge=lan' ]
5 disk = [
6 |ÂÂÂÂ'tap:aio:/dev/vg/win,hda,w',
7 |ÂÂÂÂ'tap:aio:/dev/vg/swap,hdb,w'
9 ]
10 usbdevice='tablet'
11 kernel = "/usr/lib64/xen/boot/hvmloader"
12 builder='hvm'
13 boot="dc"
14 vnc='1'
15 vncpassword=''
16 vnclisten='192.168.123.2'
17 sdl='0'
18 #on_crash='preserve'
19 keymap='nl-be'
20
21 localtime=1

If i remove line 4 it boots just fine, if i keep it:

xm create w7
Using config file "./w7".
Error: Domain 'w7' does not exist.

If i preserve it, (and start it pauzed so create.py doesn't kill it); xm list shows it is crashed.

Any suggestions ? i'm clueless right about now.

Thank you,
Killian De Volder
