My first version patches including pBAR=vBAR and loading vbios from file 
patches can work for many cards, but I didn't try your ATI card. If you need 
more help, pls send out qemu log, and output of 'xm dmesg'.

BTW, pBAR=vBAR is too tricky, so we didn't try to push it into upstream. 

If you try IGD pass-through, you can use recent changeset which already include 
basic graphics pass-through patches, and only need to apply the IGD 
pass-through patch to qemu. It should be very simple have a try.

Nope the Ati catalyst driver is not working properly, so it has fallen back to 
the basic vga driver it seems.
I was going to tryout the IGD aswell, and perhaps i haven't got an entire copy 
of the VGA bios or something like that, so I will try some more things.
I have applied all four patches your have sent in august/september (first 
version), including the pbar=vbar patch

Is there anymore news / newer version of vga passthrough patches ?

Would it be handy to eventually have the pbar=vbar as generic option in 
passthrough ?
