Perhaps the following works in KVM?

$ make kvm.ko
$ sudo rmmod kvm
$ sudo insmod kvm.ko

If it's stuff related only to the interface seen by VMs, and not to
the interaction w/ the hardware, it's probably pretty convenient. :-)
