I don't care much about the name - what you suggest reads fine
to me.

I'd like to keep interfaces independent of actual implementations.
And in the case here, PV is what Xen started with, so if nothing
else I'd like to keep the interface this generic way for historical
reasons (not that I consider it likely to be revived, but ia64 surely
also used it).
