I'm not sure how the latter can be achieved so I've no idea about feasibility. Ian, what do you think? Perl 5.18 was released this May, so it is pretty bleeding edge. On the other hand it appears that at least Arch has picked it up and people who run bleeding edge stuff make good testers...
