First thing first, make sure your changes are valid and Xen compiles,
otherwise 'make install' will just pick up the old binary (because
there's really new binary generated).

Then you can try to issue 'sync' after you 'make install', that would force
FS to flush all changes to disk.

After that, you can do md5sum to verify the binaries in /boot and source
directory match.
