However, I stillcannot get success with Intel HD Graphics 4600 IGD VGA passthrough. Although in Device Manager in Windows 7 HVM domU, it says "Thisdeviceis working properly" for Intel HD Graphics 4600, I can only get 16 colors. I really hope to be able to make Intel HD Graphics 4600IGD VGA passthrough work successfully.Hi Enming,I can't reproduce your issue even if I use your Dom0 and guest config. So, can you can try the following two: 1. use upstream Xen/Dom0 to try since that also works for me.Dear Yongjie, What do you mean by upstream Xen/Dom0? I don't understand.I mean using latest Xen and Dom0 is also fine for VGA passthru. No need to use specific changeset of Xen.2. try other HSW CPU (e.g. Core i5-4670 which works for me)I am sorry but it is out of budget for me. I can't buy another cpu to test vga passthrough.Best Regards, Yongjie (Jay)By the way, what distro and version are you using for your dom0? Is it Ubuntu, Debian, Mint or Fedora?I'm using RHEL6.4. I think it doesn't matter. Best Regards, Yongjie (Jay)Dear Yongjie and Xen developers,I have compiled and installed the latest Xen 4.4-unstable changeset 27305 and Linux kernel 3.10.3.Although I did not get error code 43 for Intel HD Graphics 4600 IGD in device manager, I am still getting 16 colors only for the monitor!!!How can I solve this problem?Hi Yongjie,I have installed Fedora 19 x86_64 as a dom0 and compiled and installed Xen 4.4-unstable changeset 27305 and Linux kernel 3.10.5. Previously I was using Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS as dom0.Although I did not get error code 43 for Intel HD Graphics 4600 in device manager, I am still getting only 16 colors on the display. I really do not know where the problem lies. Device manager says "This device is working properly.", yet I am still getting only 16 colors on the display.Could you share with me your /etc/grub.d/40_custom GRUB2 contents? Thank you very much. Dear Yongjie,I am not sure what went wrong but error code 43 comes back again. All I did was to blacklist the i915, nouveau, and snd_hda_intel kernel modules, rebuild the initial ramdisk, and turn off gdm. Could you tell me what went wrong? Could you share with us your full GRUB2 configuration and Windows 7 HVM domU configuration? Thank you very much. -- Yours sincerely, Singapore Citizen Mr. Teo En Ming (Zhang Enming) _______________________________________________ Xen-devel mailing list Xen-devel@xxxxxxxxxxxxx http://lists.xen.org/xen-devel
