Many of the comments I made on v1 still apply. I'm not going to
repeat them.

Patches 2, 4, and 6 appear the be standalone - if you can confirm
this, then applying them but not 1, 3, and 5 might be a first step
(provided the necessary ack-s trickle in). And it would also point
out that the series is at least badly ordered (if not - as I continue
to think - badly broken up).
