[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] [Xen-devel] GRUB2 XEN PV port is able to boot linux
For now it's 64-bit only but it works. I've also tested with netbsd and GNU mach. All of them work as well as when launched directly from hypervisor. GNU GRUB version 2.00 Minimal BASH-like line editing is supported. For the first word, TAB lists possible command completions. Anywhere else TAB lists possible device or file completions. grub> insmod part_msdos grub> root=xen/sdb,1 grub> linux /vmli Possible files are: vmlinuz-3.11-1-amd64 vmlinux.orig grub> linux /vmlinuz-3.11-1-amd64 hello grub> boot [ 0.000000] Initializing cgroup subsys cpuset [ 0.000000] Initializing cgroup subsys cpu [ 0.000000] Initializing cgroup subsys cpuacct [ 0.000000] Linux version 3.11-1-amd64 (debian-kernel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx) (gcc version 4.8.1 (Debian 4.8.1-10) ) #1 SMP Debian 3.11.6-1 (2013-10-27) [ 0.000000] Command line: hello [ 0.000000] ACPI in unprivileged domain disabled [ 0.000000] e820: BIOS-provided physical RAM map: [ 0.000000] Xen: [mem 0x0000000000000000-0x000000000009ffff] usable [ 0.000000] Xen: [mem 0x00000000000a0000-0x00000000000fffff] reserved [ 0.000000] Xen: [mem 0x0000000000100000-0x00000000107fffff] usable [ 0.000000] NX (Execute Disable) protection: active [ 0.000000] DMI not present or invalid.
