Hi George, I have a few questions I would like to ask. About - GPU Pass through Project 1. The first thing i want to ask was, what would be the scope of the project. I mean what are the things which i should know before
starting on the project. Is there any material which i should read or some code which i need to understand fully before jumping into the project itself. 2. One question about the project was that, when we say that currently the guests are allowed to use VGA pass through using non-primary display. Do we mean that the guest requires multiple displays to use the passed through GPU? or I'm missing something here? 3. What would be the setup required for the project. Do I need some different hardware to work on? Also what would be the testing setup
if i start something with the project. 4. What part of the code in Xen should I be targeting for this feature, Also is there anything you want me to get my hands on before working on the
project proposal for GSoC. About - VM Snapshots Project. I think the project is quiet clear after reading the details mentioned on this link http://wiki.xen.org/wiki/GSoC_2013#vm-snapshots, but i don't know
whom to contact regarding the same. I have worked on some kernel programming (for a tiny Operating system) and also some assembly code hacking. Also I have read about hypervisors but i want to understand and have a look at how things work in real world projects and hence decided to look at Xen. I'd be happy to work on both of the above
projects so, if there's any priority among the development of these projects i'd be happy to work accordingly. Lastly, If I need to ask anything, Can I ping you on IRC? I mostly hang out on both the ##xen and #xen-opw channels on freenode.
