This patch serial enable the new Cache Allocation Technology (CAT) feature found in Intel Broadwell and later server platform. On XEN implementation, CAT is used to control cache allocation on VM basis. Detail hardware spec can be found in section 17.15 of the Intel SDM [1]. The design for XEN can be found at [2].
