The Konrad's "do_flr" patch that David NACKed works fine for me. It makes it 
possible to
do VGA passthrough and reboot endlessly. 
But is has to be refactored into something that is acceptable upstream.
(and possibly be self contained and not rely on the do_flr sysfs trigger to 
work 
around some locking issue, that would make most part of the NACK (the naming of 
the option) also go away. )
