Ian? It is fine for different steps in the same job to rely on the existence of paths on the build host. The job retains ownership of its share of the host. And in principle there is nothing wrong with them `just knowing' the shared paths. It might be worthwhile adding a comment, or perhaps passing the information in a runvar (which would make it easier to make jobs with different plumbing of the pieces).
