Thank you Roger, this is excellent. Are xen-tools-devel 4.5 now?
Looks confusing.

I have also tried building xen-tools (4.7) without python
and qemu configure reported this.

Also got this:

Installing xen-tools-4.7.0...

Adding Python manually and rebuilding seems to fix those issues.

It seems to work, I only wish we've had ports from 
https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=192012 committed...
