In the context above (given the lack of clarity in the text) it is not unreasonable for someone to conclude that its talking about the specification author's intentions. Thus without clarifying whose intentions you're talking about, you are mis-representing my profession opinion. So, yes. I am serious about you changing the commit message. I do not want your design decisions (good or bad) attributed to me.
