I'd like to get a better understanding of the interaction of shadows before passing review on patch 1. I don't have any specific issues with it though. The repeated reads of MSR_DEBUGCTL are a little concerning, but your proposed alternate for vendor_is() has given me an idea how to fix this once the MSR levelling work starts, so I am less concerned. I also need to read up on MPX to review patch 2.
