The FreeBSD series does not work properly on top of current osstest
production, due to a semantic conflict with work done to support qemu
depriv.

These patches, in combination, represent what I roughly intend to do
to fix it.  However, they need rebasing and merging and squashing into
the FreeBSD series.  Also, note that they cannot be applied from this
email chain because two of the patches even conflict!
