I agree it does not make sense for the property reg. However, for "interrupts" 
property it would as it makes easier to find out the interrupt number. Looking 
at example in the bindings they actually use decimal number for the first two 
cells and then an hexadecimal:
      interrupts = <1 8 0xf04>;
