/So this seems to be the only error you're having, only you repeated it in the 
e-mail a few times.  According to the archives, there was another user (Asaf) 
who posted to this list with practically the exact same problem on 22 June, but 
he doesn't seem to have garnered a reply.  His e-mail was part of the thread 
"Problems starting xend" beginning on 11 June with Stewart Outram's e-mail, 
even though the error Stewart wrote about was different (his xend-debug.log 
output is posted in a 12 June reply).  In the end it required a patch because 
python 2.4 exposed a bug (xendmkdir.patch, posted in 14 June by "aq").  I don't 
know if this patch will solve the same problem, and I'm unfortunately not 
well-versed enough in programming to undertake an investigation myself, but I 
do ask that someone more knowledgeable please reply, as this appears to be a 
recurring problem.
