[Xen-users] XEN Setup/Configuration Question

Hi, All,

I'm trying to put together a few guest operating systems for XEN.  I have some machines that have close to identical hardware platforms, and I would like the guest O/S's to be "migratable" (live) between these hardware platforms.  This means that I have to come up with some way of having their disk devices accessable across these machines.  As I understand it, there are two ways to do this: root over NFS and network block devices.  Right now I'm playing around with NBD and ENBD.  I'm running into a few problems with this, not the least of which is that both NBD and ENBD seem to be out of development.  NBD support is already built into the kernel, however you're not really able to use nbd-client for swap space.  enbd-client supposedly fixes the swap space problem, but I actually can't even get enbd-client to connect to enbd-server at all.  ENBD also still has a bunch of debugging output (which is totally unuseful to me), so it's hard for me to tell exactly what the problem is.

I'm wondering what other people have done to create "live migratable" guest O/S's.  Is root over NFS the preferred way to go?  Or has someone else used NBD or ENBD to get this up and running?  NBD and ENBD also both have warnings about swapping over the network, but how else are you supposed to get swap space onto a guest O/S and still maintian its migratability?
