[Xen-users] Upgrade Problem

I have an 'interesting' problem. I just upgraded from
3.0.0_pre20041027 to 3.0.0_pre20051128 (this is on a Gentoo platform). I recompiled both the Dom0 and DomU kernels.

Now on booting (in this case my test ttylinux) domU I get.

VFS: Cannot open root device "sda1" or unknown-block(0,0)
Please append a correct "root=" boot option
Kernel panic - not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(0,0)

The config is unchanged from the (working) previous version:

kernel="/root/vmlinuz.domU"
memory = 32
name = "ttylinux"
nics = 1
root = '/dev/sda1'
disk = ['phy:/dev/vg-xen/ttylinux,sda1,w']

Had no problems with previous version, now get the unable to find root problem. Does anyone have any clues as to what could be causing this, or where I can look to find more info to post (there's not much in the log except the crash of the domain)?

Thanks,

David.
