Hello I was using the LVM Backup Script from xmlvalidation.com to create backups of my Xen Machines.

However the script died during execution and no real backup was created.

Now I cant remove the Snapshot anymore. Does anyone have an idea or had a similar Problem ?

xen-ha02:~# lvscan
  ACTIVE            '/dev/vgxen/test1-swap' [512.00 MB] inherit
ACTIVE   Original '/dev/vgxen/test1' [8.17 GB] inherit
ACTIVE   Snapshot '/dev/vgxen/test1-backup' [8.17 GB] inherit

these are my logical volumes...

xen-ha02:~# lvremove -f /dev/vgxen/test1-backup
device-mapper ioctl cmd 9 failed: Cannot allocate memory
  Couldn't load device 'vgxen-test1--backup'.
Unable to deactivate logical volume "test1-backup"

this is the error when I try to remove.

Thanks in Advance

Regards

Christian
