[Xen-users] Building asterisk@home domU manually?

I recall reading somewhere under "cool Xen setups" that someone had a domU with the asterisk@home system.  They said they built the domU "manually".  Anyone have any idea how you could take a bootable CD linux distro, and "manually make" a domU out of it???
