Hmm maybe that is my issue.  I will try to put the dom0 back to 100hz.
I figured it was also required.

No, the voice quality is perfect here. I'm using voicepulse connect as
my IAX provider. No scheduler tweaks, and I am running the hypervisor
and just the asterisk domU as 1000hz (dom0 and the rest of the domU's
are still 100hz).
