I found a reference to xennet as a possible issue why this may happen (eth0 not showing up) http://lists.xensource.com/archives/html/xen-users/2006-04/msg00498.html The solution is apparently to add : "alias eth0 xennet" to /etc/modprobe.conf Can someone on the list confirm if this is the case ? (I do not have access to my system right now but will have to call and instruct someone to do it, so am checking up before hand. apologies) Regards Srini >Hi Andrew >I already tried this .. sure I do not have any errors but my networking is not >working still .. only loopback is on when I check with an ifconfig > >Can any one help on how to get this running ?
