I don't think the assumption that the same goes for Debian as for
(K)Ubuntu is always right.
Ubuntu has, by definition, newer packages, some of which might not be
available in Debian.

Still, maybe you should also post this to the developers list, or add
a bug in the Bug Tracking system so the developers can fix that some
day.

Another way to add this to some docs would be to search the wiki if
there's an appropriate page and add it there yourself.
