Matt,

I can't say that I've tried this but you could try to point the disk to the physical disk Windows is on.

In your config file:
...
disk = [ 'phy:/dev/hda1,ioemu:hda,rw' ]
...

Replace /dev/hda1 with the correct path to the windows partition.

Let us know what happens.  This is an interested test.

Tony Hernandez

Hi folks,

I'm just in the process of installing ubuntu dapper on my new laptop,
which came with windows xp preinstalled.  For now I've kept the
original windows install in a separate partition, and I'm wondering if
it's possible for me to access it from within ubuntu, using xen's
hardware virtualization.  The laptop is a Latitude D820, with a
CoreDuo T2400 CPU, and as I understand it the CPU does support Intell
VT-x.  But I'm entirely new to this game and I'm not sure how to go
about it.  Have you got any pointers?

thanks,

matt
