I'm trying to migrate a xen domain to a new machine, but I'm having
trouble getting xm to respond. It seems to hang waiting for a response
from xend... if I hit ctrl+c I get this output:

vs1 auto # xm list

   line = self.fp.readline()

   data = recv(1)
KeyboardInterrupt

any suggestions for what I can do to get xm working? It does this
exact same thing with any xm command, including shutdown and status.
