I don't have any experience with FAI, but I do use SystemImager (which I
understand it has some similarities to FAI) to install domU's, although from
what you say, probably in a setting quite different from yours. Perhaps you can
have a read at this article by Kris Buytaert
(http://howto.x-tend.be/AutomatingVirtualMachineDeployment/), which is probably
more similar to what you want to do?
