oops, sorry, I only used intel hvm processors so far - I only searched
(with the search function, not manually) for "vmx" in your mail...


Based on postings I've read so far, hvmloader must be compiled for
32bit. However, it does not work if I copied the file from a 32bit
CentOS machine and use on the Athlon 64 machine.

I am not sure if that helps, but it sounds a bit "shaky" to copy only
a single file - it might not match with the whole rest.

Maybe you should try to use the whole package you built on the 32bit machine.
