Like, /bin/cp, eh? :)

Machines will need to be edited with up-to-date MAC addresses, host
names,
ip addresses. Even in vmware you have to do that (except for the MAC
address
part). Only system I've ever heard of that's fully automatic is
Virtuozzo
(those guys understand the datacenter, allow me to say!).
