AttributeError: 'list' object has no attribute 'split'

I have seen this error in 3.0.4
It is caused if you use something like cpus="x,^y" in your config file to tell the VM which physical CPUs to use.

The only way I found to get rid of it is to not use it or upgrade.

This should also happen if you try to reboot the VM. I think it's a known bug.
