  • Thread-topic: xe export snapshot?

dear list,

im trying to implement snapshot image backup for xen server vm's.

on xenserver i'm doing a snapshot of the lv and now i want to make the
"chunk-xxx" files for the xe-import command.

the xe-export command creates files like this:
29.05.2007 02:26 527.713.789 chunk-000000000.gz
29.05.2007 02:28 373.583.029 chunk-000000001.gz
29.05.2007 02:29 24.582.254 chunk-000000002.gz
29.05.2007 02:29 37.407.869 chunk-000000003.gz
..

i'm trying to make "chunk" manually (xe backup)
looks like an:
tar -cp / | split -b 1024m | gzip chunk- -
or anything like this? (cmd not working in that way)

workaround:
is there a way to (xe import) an full disk image-file?

regards
josy
