Hi list, We have XenEnterprise installed, and have some4 virtual machines running on it. One of the machines (Samba, NOmachine etc) crashed this morning. I couldn't restart it, so I tried Force Reboot. After that it started, however, it gave the following messages: --- depmod: error while loading shared libraries: libc.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory. (This message is repeated a number of times) Check root= bootarg cat /proc/cmdline or missing modules, devices: cat /proc/modules ls /dev ALERT! /dev/sda1 does not exist. Dropping to a shell BusyBox v1.00-pre10 (Debian 20040623-1) Built-in-shell (ash) Enter 'help' for a list of built-in commands /bin/sh: can't access tty; job control turned off (initramfs) --- So it seems that it doesn't connect to a disk, and consequently cannot find the required modules. Now question is off course how can this happen, and next how can I repair this???? Thanks in advance, Dick Kniep Netherlands _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users
