Hello all, I've managed to get xen to boot into a linux installation and everything seems to be working beautifuly. I have two issues, I need to boot off a CDrom to install windows xp, and I'm still not sure how to do that, and I'm also not sure of what I should put for the kernel= line when I have a winxp install. this is my current config: I'm converting the config from a gentoo install to a winxp, this won't boot, and I'm not exactly sure how to ensure that it uses the iso instead of the harddirve. I tested the disk line in my gentoo install and I can mount the iso etc. the iso is just a dd image of a valid working winxp install disk. #general name = "winxp"; memory = 256; #booting #kernel = "/boot/gentoo-domU"; #virtual disks disk = [ "file:/var/virtual/disk.img,xvda,w", "file:/var/virtual/swap,xvdb,w", "file:/var/virtual/iso/winxp.iso,xvdc:cdrom,r" ]; #root = "/dev/xvda ro"; boot = "d" #virtual network sdl=1 vif = [""]; dhcp = "dhcp"; vnc=1 vnclisten="0.0.0.0" vncviewer=0 #misc >on_reboot = 'destroy' on_crash = 'destroy' Any help would be appreciated. -- Samir _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users
