Re: [Xen-users] SCSI Tape Drive - DomU's

I see, well the thing is one of the DomU's is Windows 2003 SBS running Exchange server, and I need to run either Veritas or NTBackup to remove the exchange logs. I guess I could backup a file from NTBackup to a samba / NFS mount on the Dom0 and use Bacula to backup up that file to tape?

Some patches have just (like a few hours ago!) been posted to xen-devel
to do exactly that. Without them, the answer is no. You'll need
something like bacula with the storage daemon in Dom0 and the client in
DomU.

Subject: [Xen-users] SCSI Tape Drive - DomU's

Hi,

Quick question, I am trying to work out a backup system for my new Xen
server, I am running CentOS as the Dom0 and wondering if I have a SCSI
tape drive attached to the Dom0 will it be available to the DomU's? Or
will it just work for the Dom0?

Many Thanks
