Hello,

forgive me for the beginners questions - doc links are appreciated.

I'm setting up XEN 3.0.3 on Etch with network routing. When the DomU is
created, the IP of the Dom0 physical interface is copied to the virtual
device of the DomU.

But I want it to have it its own IP, in order to set up some routing and
firewalling in the Dom0.

xend-config.sxp:

  (network-script network-route)
  (vif-script     vif-route)

DomU config:

  vif = [ 'ip=192.168.15.40,vifname=eth1,mac=00:16:3e:06:7c:44' ]

doesn't do the trick, the ip is ignored.

I can correct this with ip addr ... commands, but I'd rather integrate it in
the conf files.

Christian
