[Xen-users] Mellanox OFED Drivers for Novell-Xen

Hello guys,

I have installed a SLES10 SP1 with xen on a computer, and tried to make my domU
working with infiniband with the "Mellanox Drivers for Novell-XEN" (I got it
from this link : http://www.mellanox.com/products/xen.php)

The problem is that the virtualized ib seems to don't exist. In fact i have a
file ifcfg-ib0 in /etc/sysconfig/network/, modules for infiniband seem to be
running, but ifconfig ib0 returns "ib0: error fetching interface information:
Device not found"
I have a MT25204 adapter (on mellanox website it's written that it only works
on MT25208, but the only difference I saw between the one and my one is the
number of ports.)

Here is a problem at the domU's boot sequence :

Loading HCA driver and Access Layer: [ OK ]
Setting up InfiniBand network interfaces:
Setting up service network . . . [ done ]
Setting up network interfaces:

cat: /sys/class/net/ib0/type: No such file or directory
Interface ib0 is not available failed
Setting up service network . . . . . . . . . . . . . . failed

Here is lsmod | grep ib :

ipv6 281856 15 ib_ipoib
ib_uverbs 43696 0

ib_sa 30560 3 ib_ipoib,ib_cm,ib_mthca
ib_mad 42148 4 ib_cm,ib_umad,ib_mthca,ib_sa
ib_core 65424 7 ib_ipoib,ib_cm,ib_uverbs,ib_umad,ib_mthca,ib_sa,ib_mad

Any suggestions ?

Best Regards
Renaud Durand
