[Xen-users] Xen bridge network issue with bonding interfaces

Hi folks,

My Xen server has two networks, one public and other private. In the private network, I have some servers with bonded interfaces. I have a big problem with these ones because Xen guest lose conectivity with these servers. In my opinion this issue is due to an arp problem

My config:

Xen server with two NICs (one private and one public) and without bonded interfaces, and bridged networking :

suxen:~ # brctl show
bridge name bridge id STP enabled interfaces
xenbr0 8000.feffffffffff no vif0.0
                           peth0
                           vif2.0
xenbr1 8000.feffffffffff no vif0.1
                           peth1
                           vif2.1

suxen:~ # brctl showmacs xenbr1
port no mac addr is local? ageing timer
 2 00:15:17:71:52:0d no 32.15
 2 00:15:17:71:52:65 no 23.06
 2 00:15:17:76:c2:8c no 39.10
 3 00:16:3e:03:0a:17 no 0.23
 2 00:1c:2e:bc:a5:00 no 30.13
 2 00:1c:2e:bc:a5:3b no 24.65
 2 00:1e:c9:d6:41:7c no 0.23
 2 00:1e:c9:d6:41:88 no 37.06
 2 00:1f:28:c9:18:c0 no 33.70
 1 fe:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff yes 0.00

Xen guest (suxmon) with conectivity problems to bonded linux servers:

suxmon:~ # arp
Address HWtype HWaddress Flags Mask Iface 192.168.100.63 (incomplete) eth1 172.17.90.254 ether 00:00:5E:00:01:01 C eth0 192.168.100.51 (incomplete) eth1 192.168.100.52 (incomplete) eth1 192.168.100.54 ether 00:1E:C9:D6:41:7C C eth1

So, in xenbridge xenbr1 I can see all mac of bonded servers ( I am using active-backup mode), but in the xen guest I lose conectivity with these servers. In syslog of xen guest I can see a strange message :

eth1: duplicate address detected!

it is strange because I have harcoded xen guest mac address in xenguest config file, and I cant see this mac address duplicate in my private network.

Any help will be welcome

Regards,

Marc
