Hi List,

I'm new on the Xen Virtual Machines world, I did a search around
looking for a solution on this problem and I could find anything

I've a new server Dell R900 (Two QuadCore 2.93Ghz, 32GB Ram) where the
following message appear when I try to boot any DomU guest machine:

ERROR: Not a Xen-ELF image: No ELF notes or '__xen_guest' section found.
ERROR: Error constructing guest OS

I already tried with CentOS 5.2 (amd64) with Xen 3.1, Debian Etch
(amd64 & i386-pae) with Xen 3.0 and Xen 3.2 because I find some
references saying that you can't run 64bit host and 32bit guest before
Xen 3.2, but nothing helped and the message remains the same.

The hypervisor and Dom0 are ok. All commands xm info, xm dmesg and xm
list are ok too.
I tried Para and Full virtualization with Windows and Linux.

Follow my configuration:

name   = "w2k"
builden = "hvm"

kernel = "/usr/lib/xen-3.0.3-1/boot/hvmloader"
device_model = "/usr/lib/xen-3.0.3-1/bin/qemu-dm"

memory = 256

vif    = [ 'type=ioemu, bridge=xenbr0']

disk   = ['phy:VolGroup00/w2k,hdc,w', 'file:/iso/w2k_server.iso,hdd:cdrom,r']

boot='d,c'

sdl=0

Please, let me known if you need any other information.

I'm very pleasure with any help.

Best Regards,

Alexandre
