file /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.23.1-42.fc8
(maybe it's a bzImage and your domain builder can't handle that)

fgrep CONFIG_XEN /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.23.1-42.fc8
(is it a proper guest kernel at all?)
