I installed with the following command:

# apt-get install xen-linux-system-2.6.26-1-xen-amd64 xen-utils-3.2-1
lvm2 xen-tools python-xml

could you please post 

dpkg-l | grep xen

and the xen-boot-entry in menu.lst
