With Server 2003 we found 3.2.1 and 3.3.0 to be stable. Had crashes with Xen
3.0.3 though.

The PV drivers can be used in production, my experiences are they crash or show
problems within an hour or work perfectly so with GPLPV it really is just a
case of testing before deploying (Seems to depend on application).

Xen.org HVM DomUs would probably be equally production-ready barring
Windows drivers, though, and on top of that I believe some users do use GPLPV
drivers in production in spite of best practice concerns and downtime risk. I
am not sure how great HVM domUs would be for DB service in general, though.
Without drivers it would certainly be costly in terms of performance. With
drivers, I believe the GPLPV drivers perform better that the Citrix ones to
such an extent that some Citrix users have tried to use them (which may or may
not be possible but that would have to be verified in this list's archives).

Xen and Windows is not production ready (PV drivers are still beta and in
development). However the commerical varient Citrix XenServer is production
ready.
